Three Devis. One sanctum.
At most Baglamukhi shrines the Devi is seated alone. At Nalkheda she is flanked — Mahalakshmi on one side, Saraswati on the other. Three goddesses in a single garbhagriha.
The tradition explains the arrangement plainly: a resolution that leaves a household poorer is incomplete, and one gained without wisdom does not hold. The three are worshipped together for that reason.

परम्परा इसका कारण स्पष्ट बताती है: जो समाधान गृहस्थी को निर्धन कर दे वह अधूरा है, और जो बिना विवेक प्राप्त हो वह टिकता नहीं। इसी कारण तीनों की एक साथ आराधना होती है।

Every havan is performed at Nalkheda by Acharya Ashish Sharma himself — not delegated to an assistant, not conducted in a hall elsewhere. The sankalp is taken aloud in your name and gotra before the fire is lit.
You receive video of the rite as it is performed, the jap record where the vidhi calls for one, and prasad dispatched afterwards. Devotees who cannot travel join the sankalp by video call.

The temple keeps its own rhythm: daily aarti, the shringar changed through the week, and the havan kunds in the courtyard where the longer anushthans are performed.

A seat of long standing.
Nalkheda sits on the banks of the Lakhundar in Agar Malwa district. The temple is entered through the lion-mukh gateway, the shikhara rising in yellow beyond it, with trishul fencing along the approach.
What draws devotees here rather than to a nearer shrine is the arrangement of the sanctum itself — Maa Baglamukhi worshipped alongside Mahalakshmi and Saraswati, three Devis in one garbhagriha.

नलखेड़ा आगर मालवा जिले में लखुन्दर नदी के तट पर स्थित है। मंदिर में सिंह-मुख द्वार से प्रवेश होता है, उसके परे पीत शिखर उठता है, और मार्ग के साथ त्रिशूल-वेष्टन है।

The havan kunds.
The longer anushthans are performed at the kunds in the temple grounds. The brick kund is marked with sindoor and rangoli before the rite, and the samagri laid out beside it.
For a nine or fifteen day anushthan, the fire is tended across the full period, with the jap count recorded each day.
हवन कुण्ड।
दीर्घ अनुष्ठान मंदिर प्रांगण के कुण्डों पर सम्पन्न होते हैं। विधि से पूर्व ईंट-कुण्ड को सिन्दूर एवं रंगोली से अंकित किया जाता है, तथा सामग्री उसके पार्श्व में सजाई जाती है।
नौ अथवा पंद्रह दिवसीय अनुष्ठान में सम्पूर्ण अवधि तक अग्नि की सेवा होती है, और प्रतिदिन जप-संख्या अंकित की जाती है।

Ten forms of the Devi recognised in the Shakta tradition. Maa Baglamukhi is the eighth, and the presiding Devi of Nalkheda. Acharya ji performs anushthan for each of the ten, with the Dash Mahavidya Havan invoking all together.

Acharya Ashish Sharma serves as a dedicated priest at Maa Baglamukhi Temple, Nalkheda, in Agar Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh. He has spent more than twenty-five years in this tradition, and has been within it since birth.
His training is in the Vedic scriptures and in the ritual practice that accompanies them — Sanskrit, the mantra tradition, and the tantric and vedic disciplines as they are kept at this peeth. He is also a practising Vedic astrologer, and reads a horoscope before naming a vidhi where the situation calls for it.
Everything he offers is rooted in the authentic practice of Sanatan Dharma as it has been handed down. He does not improvise, and he does not offer a remedy the tradition does not contain.

Tantra, Mantra and Vedic practice.
The Baglamukhi tradition at Nalkheda carries all three together. The mantra is the core of it — the count, the discipline, the unbroken recitation. The vedic element governs the structure of the rite: sankalp, nyasa, offering, purnahuti. The tantric element is what gives the Baglamukhi practice its particular character, and it is kept here as it has been kept.
Acharya ji works within this whole. He does not treat these as separate offerings to be chosen between, because in this tradition they are not separate.

नलखेड़ा की बगलामुखी परम्परा तीनों को साथ लेकर चलती है। मंत्र इसका मूल है — संख्या, नियम, अखण्ड जप। वैदिक अंश विधि की संरचना निर्धारित करता है: संकल्प, न्यास, अर्पण, पूर्णाहुति। तांत्रिक अंश वह है जो बगलामुखी साधना को उसका विशिष्ट स्वरूप देता है, और यहाँ वह वैसे ही रक्षित है जैसा रहा है।
आचार्य जी इसी समग्रता में कार्य करते हैं। वे इन्हें पृथक विकल्पों की भाँति नहीं मानते जिनमें से चुनना हो, क्योंकि इस परम्परा में ये पृथक हैं ही नहीं।
The horoscope is read before the vidhi is named.
Acharya ji is a Vedic astrologer as well as a priest, and in this tradition the two are not separate roles. Where a devotee's situation suggests it, he will look at the horoscope before saying anything about a ritual — because a difficulty that is running through a particular graha period asks for a different response than one that is not.

The date of a rite is set by the tradition's reckoning, not by convenience.विधि की तिथि परम्परा की गणना से निश्चित होती है, सुविधा से नहीं।
He listens first.
Acharya ji's practice begins with listening. A devotee describes what they are facing; he asks what has already been tried, how long it has continued, and what the household's own observance has been.
Only then does he name a vidhi — and often enough he names none, suggesting instead a simple observance at home. He does not accept a sankalp he does not believe is called for, and he does not take on more in a period than he can personally keep.
Devotees come to Nalkheda from across India and from abroad, with matters of every kind — marriage and household, work and trade, study, legal difficulty, and troubles that carry no evident cause. What is offered is traditional religious observance and guidance according to the situation, never an assurance of outcome.
